WaterAid is a leading international non-governmental organisation committed to transforming lives by providing access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. In collaboration with Wakeless Productions, we are proud to present a series of impactful live broadcasts and dynamic social media campaigns designed to raise awareness about WaterAid’s vital work. Through these initiatives, we aim to inspire more individuals and organizations to support this incredible charity, which has already empowered over 28.1 million people with access to clean water. “Missing Tools” was a WaterAid social media campaign focusing on four influential supporters - a doctor, a dentist, a personal trainer and a fashion designer. The short clips presented them doing their jobs without an essential tool - for example, a dentist attempting to drill a tooth without a drill. As you can imagine, they didn’t fare very well. Nobody should be expected to do their job properly without the right tools. And yet 1 in 4 health centres around the world don’t have clean water on site, making it impossibly hard to treat patients safely, putting them at risk of deadly infections.
Four seperate videos were produced which were used to engage audiences and to make this point in an entertaining but hard hitting manner, as part of WaterAid’s 2023 ongoing appeal “Water Means Life”, raising money to help the Munda people survive the devastating floods and cyclones caused by climate change in Mozambique, providing clean, safe water for the healthcare workers and the community, to give them the freedom to learn, earn and thrive.
