Filming for "The Nevermets" took place across the UK, Asia, Europe, and America. Our small crews typically consisted of a self-shooting producer/director and a self-shooting assistant producer, occasionally accompanied by an additional location assistant or chaperone. By embedding ourselves in the lives of the couples for many months prior to filming, we established strong relationships, which allowed us to capture natural and authentic moments on camera.
The small, non-invasive crews and the nurturing of trusting relationships enabled us to document the complexity and emotion of these unique relationships. For significant narrative moments, such as when couples met for the first time, we brought in additional cameras to capture various angles, including a drone for aerial shots. Camera positions were carefully planned and rehearsed in advance, and we used long lenses to film from a distance, ensuring that we preserved the intimacy and authenticity of the moments.
Over the course of a year and a half, we meticulously documented these relationships, capturing the true essence of their journeys.
