A playful, high-impact social campaign asking a serious question: why do we expect healthcare workers to save lives without clean water?
Produced by Wakeless Productions for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, the films use humour and visual metaphor - a designer without a sewing machine, a dentist without a drill, a fitness instructor without weights - to highlight a shocking reality: 1 in 4 health centres worldwide still lack clean water.
Working from WaterAid’s original idea, Wakeless Productions developed the scripts and delivered four short films featuring supporters including Raph Dilhan, Dr Milad Shadrooh, alongside medical and fitness professionals.
Bright, colourful and intentionally light-hearted, the films hook viewers with comedy before landing the facts and a clear call to action for WaterAid’s Winter Appeal.
The campaign achieved a 10–20× uplift in engagement compared with WaterAid’s typical social performance at the time.
Wakeless Productions managed the project end-to-end - scripting, budgeting, crew, logistics, kit, filming, post-production, client liaison and delivery - completing the campaign on time and on budget.
