AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Pride Inside
A live digital Pride programme delivered during the UK COVID-19 lockdowns, when physical Pride events were cancelled.
Pride Inside was Amnesty International UK’s week-long digital campaign and fundraising initiative, designed to keep LGBTQ+ visibility, solidarity and human rights advocacy alive during a period of national isolation.
I was brought in to direct and run the live online programming - a daily schedule of livestreamed content broadcast to Amnesty’s audience throughout Pride week.
Working remotely using emerging livestreaming platforms, the role combined creative, editorial and technical responsibility, comparable to a live broadcast studio director. This included shaping the running order, managing live contributors and presenters, integrating pre-recorded films and graphics, and overseeing the live transmission to Amnesty’s digital channels.
The programming was delivered entirely remotely, requiring clear communication, technical confidence and calm live decision-making - ensuring each broadcast ran smoothly, safely and on time during an unprecedented moment for digital production.
