Christian Aldridge is a TV and documentary director/producer who founded Wakeless Productions to create high-quality content that prioritises people and the planet. With a focus on collaboration and storytelling that resonates, his productions are cohesive, engaging, and—dare we say—enjoyable. He has directed series for major UK and US streamers, as well as broadcasters like BBC and Channel 4, and has worked with charities such as WaterAid and Amnesty International to create films that pack a punch while remaining full of heart.

Our aim is to combine beautiful visuals with strong entertaining and authentic stories, creating content that makes the world a little bit nicer.
We produce long and short form documentaries, creative social media campaigns and live streaming broadcasts.
As a freelance producer and director, Christian directs popular factual series for broadcasters and streaming services.

Committed to sustainable filmmaking practices that minimise our environmental impact, we select eco-friendly suppliers, reduce waste, and make sure the financial institions we use don’t spend a penny on fossil fuel or arms investments.
Additionally, 10% of profits are donated to different charities that support positive environmental and social change every year, ensuring our impact extends beyond the screen.
CHRISTIAN ALDRIDGE
Christian is a producer and director with over 20 years experience in the television and film industry; starting his career working for the Public Service Broadcasting Trust as Creative Manager for a campaign designed to help young people tackle issues in society, and later moving into the television industry, producing and directing popular factual series including First Dates, Gogglebox and 24 Hours in A&E. In 2018, he trained with Compassionate Revolution Ltd. to consult on environmental impact, and took on the role of livestreaming director for the climate movement Extinction Rebellion.
He has produced and directed documentary and factual series for UK and US broadcasters and streamers (including BBC, HBO, ITV, Discovery, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Netflix), and feature length one-off documentaries.
In 2022 he moved to Newquay and runs Wakeless Productions and freelances as a documentary series director
